The 3 Books on my nightstand at the moment...

I am not a good millennial because I cannot read a book if it’s not a tangible piece of paper in my hands.

When I was younger I never enjoyed reading and used to give my poor brother heck for always having a book in his face. Pine…you were so right all those years! There are times when I have more books on the go than others but here is the current stack. Two completed and one on the go. I highly recommend them all and I’ll explain my reasons.

You’ll want a comfy chair for this one as it was very, very difficult to put down! I have loved every Kristin Hannah book I’ve read but this one was monumental its is depiction of a time period I knew very little about. The culture shifts between patriotism and anti-war sentiment while seeing the Vietnam War from a variety of angles enlightened me to say the least. While this book is fiction I look forward to reading some of the references listed at the end. i can’t recommend this book enough, just wow!

This one may seem funny as 95% of the time you see me on social in the same Patagonia Overalls! But I truly love considering and researching wardrobe curation and how those choices can bring joy and connection to your personality. I heard about Allison from some Youtube videos and apparently she’s big on Tik Tok but I don’t have that platform so I did the old school thing and bought her book. What a fun read and a way to look at your clothes as a extension of your true self. She talks about her Three Word Method and her closet editing system that is so useful too! Fun read if you’re like me and loves clothes just don’t always get to wear them in your shop haha!

Ok the last one might have you wondering! I live in a very small community and when you are a tiny population you become part of everything! So as a member of our local school board we are pursuing ways to help prepare our students for financial maturity and success. Part of this pursuit is education and to begin that journey I picked up this book and have been reading it prior to handing it out. It seems a lot of this personal finance knowledge is either non existent in todays youth or has been skipped over in later education. We hope to help our little circle in this matter and thought you might have a young adult in your life who could benefit as well!
